Kramnik-Aronian: 2-4

Levon Aronian has got a well-deserved victory over the World Champion Vladimir Kramnik in the Rapid Match.

The third day has finished with a draw. But thanks to the yesterdays victories Aronian has won the Match. Both games were tense and dramatic, yet they were finished peacefully.

In general Kramnik was not too bright during this match and have got only one victory in the first match thanks to the knockout novelty in Marshall counter-attack.

Congratulations to Levon Aronian with a remarkable performance and well-deserved victory.

Russian chess prime league: round 4

The first three places of the Russian Clubs Championship after the fourth tour are as follows: “Tomsk-400” – 8/8, “Ural” – 7/8, “Economist” – 6/8.

The performance of Tomsk makes a very strong impression yet the rating favorite “Ural” with such grands as Radjabov, Grischuk, Shyrov still has all the chances to get the first place.

Most likely everything will be decided in the last tours, moreover as these two teams will play against each other in the last tour!
